**About the opportunity**
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Workers Compensation Manager to join our welcoming and supportive Injury Management team. In this key leadership role you will make a significant impact in designing and implementing strategic priorities and programs of work that will facilitate workers’ compensation service delivery and positively impact return to work outcomes for injured team members.

**What you’ll deliver with us**
Reporting into our Head of Workers’ Compensation, you will be responsible for developing programs of work that will support the determination of liability on all new claims, secondary claims, third party recovery claims and Permanent Impairment claims, under the guidance of the SRC.

**You’ll also**
- Manage and lead a team responsible for all liability decisions within their region
- Ensure all decisions are made in accordance with legislation and license conditions (including timeframes)
- Provide high quality technical claims advice to Incapacity, Medical and other Injury Management teams
- Assist in the development and implementation of Eligibility operational plans and strategic objectives
- Provide strategic guidance/set team direction on activities designed to ensure timely and effective decision making processes
- Identify and implement solutions to reduce the number of decisions that lead to review and dispute processes.

**What are we looking for?**
- Detailed understanding of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and related regulatory environment
- Detailed understanding of workers’ compensation and rehabilitation management systems
- Detailed understanding of self-insurance licensing and compliance requirements
- Extensive knowledge of workers compensation legislation (Federal jurisdiction preferred)
- Established leadership experience to effectively lead a team through connection, open communication and encouraging employee growth and development.
