**About the role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Facilities Coordinator to manage the maintenance, repair and safety of our retirement villages and boarding houses. As Facilities Coordinator, you will work both proactively in scheduling preventative maintenance tasks, as well as reactively, in acting as the first point of contact for residents to report maintenance emergencies and defect rectifications. Providing good customer service to residents, timely coordination for repairs and routine reporting to management is crucial for this role.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Communicate with residents and village manager and respond to reported issues in a timely fashion
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to manage repair and maintenance work, including scheduling and supervising repairs, obtaining quotes, and ensuring quality control
- Develop and implement a maintenance and repair schedule for all facilities, including regular inspections of the buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify repair needs and ensure that maintenance tasks are completed on time
- Oversee facility improvement projects, such as upgrades to common areas, landscaping, or equipment replacement, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining costs within budget
- Assist village manager to implement and monitor safety and emergency procedures for facilities, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (including the Retirement Village Act)
- Manage the budget for facility maintenance and repair, including negotiating with vendors and suppliers and tracking expenses
- Management of Asset Management Plan and updating 3-year reports for the retirement villages
- Able to work with village owners to implement physical upgrades whenever situation arises
- Communicate regularly with management and residents regarding facility updates, maintenance issues, and other related matters

**About you**

This role would suit someone with excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, vendors, residents and village management.
- Experience in contractor management with knowledge of building services operations
- Understanding of building compliance, Workplace Health & Safety and environmental obligations

Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred, but not mandatory. Must have a full licence and be able to drive to different sites including retirement villages and boarding houses.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
