**ABOUT THE BRANCH & SECTIONS**
**Policy, Data & Legislation**
The Policy, Data and Legislation Branch is responsible for policy, guidance and advice on whole-of-government property policy and legislation. This includes the Commonwealth Property Management Framework (RMG 500), the Lands Acquisition Framework (RMG 501), Commonwealth Property Disposal Policy, and the _Lands Acquisition Act 1989_ and _Public Works Committee Act 1969_ and other relevant legislation applicable to National Land, Crown leasing and Commonwealth land.
The Branch is also responsible for providing advice on major capital works planning, undertaking remediation projects on Finance owned land and divestment of property in accordance with the Commonwealth Property Disposal Policy.
The Branch collects, analyses and reports on Commonwealth property data, including managing the Australian Government Property Register and producing the annual Australian Government Office Occupancy Report. The Branch supports informed decision and policy making across the Commonwealth utilising the data collected as part of the Australian Government Property Register.
**Property Data team**
The Property Data team manages all aspects of Property data, including data management, analysis and communication. We are embarking on a change program including building a new data model to simplify data compilation and updating our current systems. Data management roles will be required to assist in systems design and the procurement and project management for large data projects.
We also gather and analyse data to provide data driven insights to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Government policy. This will require a curiosity and ability to question data sets, rather than complex statistical modelling.
Our data is often quite technical, but we want to reach a wide audience. We make our reports accessible by telling a story through a mix of written word, interactive data and data visualisations.
**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITIES**
We are looking to fill the role of Property Data Collection Coordinator in the **Data Collection and Sharing** (DCS) team, Property Data Team, Property and Construction Division. This team manages daily operations and the end-to-end management of the Owned and Leased Estate data collections. The focus of the team is on maintaining operational efficiency, meeting customer needs, expanding the awareness of the capability with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
The DCS team prioritises building and maintaining robust data collection processes. This includes implementing systems and protocols that guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of property data.
The DCS team proactively the establishment of strong relationships with stakeholders, including PCD teams, entities, and property service providers, communicating with stakeholders, seeking their input, addressing their concerns, and fostering collaborative partnerships. These relationships will not only facilitate data collection but also enhance the teams understanding of the property industry and stakeholders evolving needs and requirements. The DCS team works closely with the Data Reporting, Analysis and System Administration Team in the Property Data Team.
The DCS team also undertakes regular reviews and analysis of entity business requests. This includes recommending enhancements to the AGPR data sets, workflows, and reports. These improvements will streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and ensure a seamless flow of data.
The Property Data Collection Coordinator administers the day-to-day matters relating to the planning, coordination and implementation of the Australian Government Property annual data collections, including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering. The Property Data Collection Coordinator also seeks opportunities to modernise the processes and services provided by the Property Data Team, through participating in section planning and aligning longer term plans with entity goals and objectives.
