**About the role**:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Postgraduate Fellow with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. This position provides diverse experience in clinical, research and education in Upper GIT surgery. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
3. Possess Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
4. Demonstrated experience in GIT surgery, clinical competency and satisfactory references from recent Surgery supervisors
5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and computer skills.
6. Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Demonstrated commitment to self-directed learning and demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
8. Demonstrated research experience and willingness to teach junior medical officers.
