- Part time (9 day fortnight) ongoing position available

About the Opportunity

The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for FVREE’s training portfolio and the operational management, support, and leadership of the Education Team. The role is responsible for ensuring FVREE’s suite of training packages is up to date with the current framework and policy context and ensures it’s responsive to the needs of partners and clients. In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Training and Development Coordinator will explore funding and partnership opportunities to effectively develop and implement existing and new training packages in the eastern region and beyond. This position will have a particular focus on the development and implementation of early intervention training; however, will also contribute to the coordination and promotion of primary prevention training.

This position will lead FVREE’s renowned HaiR-3Rs training program. HaiR-3Rs is designed to teach professionals working in the beauty industry to spot possible signs of family violence and know what to say and do if a client or colleague shares their experience of family violence. The Training and Development Coordinator will be responsible for the management of the HaiR-3Rs social media platforms, and website and the development of high-quality resources to support the objectives of the program.

The work you’ll do will support us to makes a difference in the lives of women and children experiencing family violence by helping them access safe and stable housing, improving their financial stability, supporting their health and wellbeing, increasing their social and community participation and accessing support to promote independence.

To succeed in this job, you will need the capability to
- Demonstrate experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of training programs, ideally related to the primary prevention of and responding to family violence.
- Demonstrate experience leading and providing supervision to a diverse team of staff as well as an ability, or keen interest, to supervise family violence trainers.
- Show skills and experience in stakeholder management, including the ability to develop effective working relationships, and liaise and negotiate with organisations and individuals.
- Show evidence of successful project management and/or client management experience.
- Have a proven track
- record in relation to securing funding through grant submissions including budget management.
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use other software (i.e. Canva, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey) to prepare promotional materials, surveys, and prepare presentations.
- Have an excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a strong time management and organisational skills including analysis and problem solving and the ability to manage multiple and competing demands.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of family violence including the gendered nature of family violence, social determinants, and drivers of violence against women.
- Have a proven ability to function both independently and collaboratively both within a dynamic office environment and at remote locations if required.

You’ll need these qualifications and/or experience
- A tertiary degree in Communications, Public Health, Health Promotion, or other related discipline.
- Experience in delivering consultancy and fee-for-service work.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and demonstrated experience in training delivery.
