**The Role**
The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems Branch Security is seeking a professional, motivated APS 5 Security Officer to join the team in Russell, ACT. As the APS 5 Security Officer, operating in a secure environment you will be a part of the business unit which provides effective security support to all of the EWIS Special Program Offices.

Under limited direction you will engage with stakeholders, investigate, report, develop, evaluate, support policies, processes, procedures, practice and manage resources specific to assurance and data specifications supporting Defence capability.

As the Branch Security Officer you will be relied upon to provide security assistance and advice to all members of the EWIS Branch. You will have good stakeholder engagement skills, collaborating with the team to ensure complex projects and security requirements within the EWIS Branch are completed.

The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems branch under Joint Systems Division is an exciting and complex environment, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within CASG.

We deliver joint capability and work primarily on three areas: electronic protection, electronic support and electronic attack and seeks to be recognised and respected as a centre of expertise and global leader delivering and supporting capability solutions in the EWIS and Active Electronically Scanned Array radar domains.

Branch Security unit supports the Assistant Secretary Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems, senior Managers and Systems Program Offices to meet their corporate and governance security obligations. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

- Knowledge of and ability to provide security incident management responses that is in accordance with the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF);
- Experience in the security environment, with the ability to development plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes;
- Strong organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability influence and negotiate with stakeholders at variant levels;
- The ability to set work priorities, manage workflows, build and sustain productive and collaborative relationships, ensuring your team remains informed;
- The ability to respond flexibly to changing situations, including using sound judgement under pressure with the ability to prioritise work to ensure the success of key deliverables.
