About the RACGP
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.

We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

About you
As our Business Improvement Specialist, you are motivated by designing and delivering organisation-wide change and business improvement interventions. This role will contribute to the delivery of a pipeline of business improvement activities across the organisation and build organisational capability in business improvement tools, methodologies, and frameworks to improve the customer and employee experience.

You’ve done this before, with experience in working within business improvement functions that deliver change that adds value, optimising and streamlining processes and ways of working.
You’ve trained for this, with relevant business improvement certification in a methodology such as Lean/Six Sigma (minimum Greenbelt) or demonstrated relevant experience
You’re a designer at heart, and can’t wait to support the organisation in building capability in design thinking/Human Centred Design
You’re a self confessed process mapping geek You can demonstrate your ability in developing and facilitating end to end process maps, using a value stream lens to optimise and reduce duplication
You love a good problem to solve and aren’t afraid to lean in with curiosity to find the best approach
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager, the Business Improvement Specialist plays a key role in designing and delivering organisation-wide change and business improvement interventions to support and deliver RACGP’s operating plan.

**You will**:
Lead end to end business improvement projects using strong stakeholder engagement strategies to actively understand and influence the improvement outcomes
Uplift organisational capability in business improvement principles, techniques, tools, systems and methodologies to ensure appropriate business process, workflow, and ways of working are mapped and benefits captured across all business improvement projects.
Lead and facilitate workshops to understand and produce end-to-end current state process and workflow maps at varying levels of detail, identifying pain and gain points that will inform an improved future state
The Benefits

14% superannuation
Additional leave over the Christmas and New Year period
17.5% annual leave loading for EA employees
Hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of two days in an RACGP office
The Core Academy - our employee professional development program
High-profile health and education organisation where progressive leadership, innovation integrity, collaboration and accountability are valued.
To apply

Towards the end of the process, applicants will be asked to complete pre-employment screening, which may include reference checks and/or a National Police Check. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

**Applications close**: 23rd April 2024

“We are a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer - we commit to respond to every applicant”
