Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Improvement Specialist join us on an initial 12 month Fixed-Term Contract within our brand new Global Head Office in Collingwood.
By leading initiatives to improve quality, reduce complaints, streamline processes, and ensure compliance, the goal is to optimize efficiency, minimize errors, and enhance product or service quality.
Through collaboration, data analysis, and problem-solving, the objective is to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, meeting stakeholder expectations and industry regulations while delivering exceptional quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective strategies to achieve measurable results.
- Analyse customer complaints trends, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective actions to reduce customer complaints and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies (at least Green belt) to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and optimize quality across the organization.
- Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration and alignment by leading and supporting teams in implementing quality improvement projects.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous quality enhancements throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industryspecific quality management systems, standards, and regulations, and drive continuous improvement in qualityrelated processes and practices.
- Effectively communicate quality initiatives, provide training to stakeholders, and ensure alignment on quality objectives and expectations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities for quality enhancement and implementing preventive actions.
- Utilize problemsolving methodologies such as the 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions for qualityrelated issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to drive quality initiatives, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on quality requirements and expectations.
- Maintain and develop expertise in the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) modules, leveraging technology to optimize quality processes and documentation.
What we are looking for:
- Certified Green belt or above (Six Sigma) desirable but not essential
- Formal training in any form of quality management systems (e.g. service providers such as SGS are welcome)
- Built and implemented an eQMS
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO9001,PIC/S).
- Proficiency in data analysis for identifying improvement areas (In Excel or other suits such as minitab, Rstudio).
- Experience in influencing crossfunctional teams to implement process.
- Proficient in use of root cause analysis methodologies.
- Proficient in quality management software and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
