  • Collaboratively identify insightful metrics, with which to monitor the overall levels of risk, to ensure ongoing risk management is aligned to risk appetite.
  • Hold a shared responsibility to deliver and innovate Group Risk's strategic objectives that ensures it continues to deliver a systematic and disciplined second line of defence and which improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the risk, control and governance processes.
  • Support business areas to undertake risk / threat assessments and reviews in line with strategy having regard to risk appetite. Where appropriate, facilitate material risk assessments directly.
  • Provide training and coaching to area representatives and risk owners where required.
  • Motivate and influence stakeholders to continuously improve risk management processes and facilitate area risk and governance forums, including proactive oversight of material action items to assess whether risks have been appropriately mitigated.
