About You

As an experienced Mine Site Cleaner, you are highly motivated, a team player and driven to tackle a new challenge. In addition, to your mine site cleaning skills are highly developed from years of industry experience, you are enthusiastic with a passion to provide quality service.

As a hands-on Mine Site Cleaner, you will be autonomous and responsible for the day-to-day industrial mine site cleaning operations.

Reporting to our Mine Site Manager & the Village Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for cleaning all communal buildings and facilities on the mine sites, including bathrooms, waste removal, basic grounds keeping and more. It is a physically demanding job that requires you to use a range of cleaning machines & equipment, so you will require a good level of fitness.

The role will be on a DIDO - 7 day on/ 7 day off roster, 12 hours per day.

The Role

• Must have own car to be able to handle travel to remote location & live locally
• 2+ years Mine Site Cleaning experience or relevant role - EXPERIENCED applicants only
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Commit to traveling to and from site on a regular basis at own expense.
• Availability to work on a 7/7 roster cycle (7 days on, 7 days off - 12 hour shifts).
• A proactive team player and worked in high performing teams.
• Experience in achieving KPI's.
• Experience in WPHS and other industry cleaning quality standards.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Class C, Australian Manual Driver's License and reliable transport with back up should an issue arise
• Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD
• Be Neat, Tidy and Professional in appearance.

To be considered, you must have or be willing to obtain:

• Australian Driver's License (must be any Australian State) - International license is not accepted
• Must have or willing to obtain the following Mine Site Cleaning Certificate - Current Coal Board Medical & S11
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
• Have a recent National Police Check (within 1 month).
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
• Have a current Food Safety Certificate or willing to complete our free online food safety certificate
• Have a current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willing to obtain your own

• National Police Check.
• Issued Employment Pack and Contract.
• Complete all inductions - either online or face to face.
