We are currently seeking aSenior Project Engineer– Tank Turnarounds to join the Fuels & Energy East Team. Based in our Brisbane Office (Southbank) and reporting to the Project Lead - East, this role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of national Tank Turnaround projects.
About the Role
- Establish & maintain strong, successful working relationships with our client across all levels
- Prepare and administer project budgets for the successful financial management of project cash flow requirements
- Understand required project outcome for both UGL and our client in terms of safety, client outcomes, budget, and time
- Understand and interpret contract documents
- Select, procure, and manage subcontractors and subcontractor agreements, and manage progress and variation claims
- Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in the delivery process
- Mentor Project and Graduate Engineers
- Ensure compliance with all UGL HSSE policies and procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements
About You
- Relevant Engineering Tertiary qualifications
- Minimum 7 years project delivery experience in the Oil & Gas, Water or Petrochemical industries. (Fuel terminal and Tank exposure highly regarded)
- Project portfolio delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary capacity preferable
- Highly developed interpersonal, relationship management and conflict resolution skills, supporting your ability to effectively liaise, consult and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally
- Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment
