Turners Engineering, a successful multifaceted business with over 70 years of history, operates in Mining and Civil Contracting, Plant Hire, Manufacturing, Machinery Sales, Roadworthy Inspections, and Property Development. The group employs more than 200 Australians and maintains relationships with the National Trust and Indigenous communities.

We are seeking a Group Accountant to support our growth while ensuring compliance and governance.

What you will bring to the role
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in senior accounting or financial management; experience in mining/civil contracting preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment with an inquisitive mindset.
What you will be doing
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, reporting, and compliance for a multi-faceted business.
  • Oversee financial statements and management reports accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
  • Assist with cash flow, working capital, and treasury management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial processes.
  • Support the COO with financial data for board presentations and efficiency improvements.
