Turners Engineering, a successful multifaceted business with over 70 years of experience, specializes in Mining and Civil Contracting, Plant Hire, Manufacturing, Machinery Sales, Roadworthy Inspections, and Property Development.
The group employs more than 200 Australians and collaborates with the National Trust and Indigenous communities.
We are seeking a Group Accountant to join our team, supporting the growth of the Turners Group while ensuring compliance and governance standards are maintained.
What you will bring to the role Degree qualified in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting or financial management role; experience in mining/civil contracting is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment with an inquisitive mindset.
What you will be doing Manage the day-to-day financial transactions, processing, and reporting for a mature, multi-faceted business.
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
Assist with managing cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline financial processes.
Support the COO with financial data for board presentations and efficiency improvements.
