About the role

Central Apartment Group is seeking a proactive and experienced Apartment Hotel Manager or Management Couple to oversee the smooth operation of our busy apartment hotel located in Launceston, Tasmania. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for all aspects of managing the property to ensure the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction are consistently delivered.

What you'll be doing

Managing all daily operations of the apartment hotel, including reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest relations

Overseeing the recruitment, training, scheduling and management of the hotel team

Driving occupancy and revenue through effective marketing, pricing and yield management strategies

Maintaining brand standards and ensuring the property is well-presented at all times

Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency

Managing budgets and financial reporting for the hotel

Identifying and addressing maintenance and repair issues to maintain the property

Providing exceptional customer service and handling guest enquiries, feedback and complaints

What We're Looking For

Significant experience (3+ years) in a hotel or apartment management role, preferably in a similar size and style of property

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills

Proven track record in driving occupancy, revenue, and profitability

Hands-on experience managing all aspects of hotel operations

Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills

Working knowledge of property maintenance and repair requirements

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Ideal Candidate – Single Manager

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in hospitality management, with a solid understanding of property operations in the serviced apartment and hotel sector. You bring creativity, a proactive approach, and a coaching leadership style, focusing on employee growth and development. A genuine passion for hospitality, calmness under pressure, and a sharp eye for detail in facility, service, and product delivery are essential. As a Couple/Management Team

As a management couple, complementary skills and hands-on experience are highly valued. At least one member should have strong maintenance experience, ensuring facilities are kept to the highest standard and any issues are resolved promptly. Together, you offer comprehensive knowledge of property and hospitality management, creativity, and a supportive leadership style. A shared passion for guest service, resilience under pressure, and meticulous attention to detail ensure smooth operations and an outstanding guest experience.
