Public Sector People are looking for a Governance Lead to join a council in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is innovative, collaborative, and passionate about good governance in the public sector.

Initial 6 month contract | Potential for permanent role

ASAP Start

$68-72ph + super

As Governance Lead, You Will

  • Lead and support governance activities across Council.
  • Provide expert advice on governance policies, systems, and frameworks.
  • Coordinate ethical frameworks, including code of conduct and public interest disclosures.
  • Manage governance systems for Council and Committee meetings.

What You Will Bring
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience.
  • GIPA experience is essential.
  • Local, state or federal government experience is highly desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in governance, public administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, local government legislation, and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and delivering business improvements.
