About the role

Are you ready to make a real impact on how digital and technology strategies are developed and delivered across a large, dynamic department?

Join our IT Strategy and Governance team, where you'll play a key role in driving technology planning, program governance, and digital transformation. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the department to develop technology roadmaps that align with enterprise architecture and whole-of-government priorities.

As part of this high-performing team, you will:

  • Lead the ICT governance function and uplift the department's technology governance framework
  • Coordinate the Project Management Office, support and develop digital governance practices including policies, processes and dashboards
  • Liaise with executive agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure the department's interests are clearly represented in whole-of-government reporting
  • Coordinate and lead technology governance and assurance committees
  • Lead the implementation of AI governance, assurance processes and functions

  • Practical experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and PMBOK, with the ability to adapt and apply them effectively
