Technical Business Analyst – Initial 3-Month Contract

A leading Australian retail organisation is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join on an initial three-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role will support a select portfolio of infrastructure projects, working closely with two Infrastructure Project Managers to deliver critical outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced BA with a strong grounding in IT infrastructure, capable of facilitating workshops, owning key project artefacts, and translating complex technical requirements into clear deliverables. This is a hands-on role that will require excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate workshops and capture business and technical requirements for IT infrastructure projects.
  • Own key artefacts (e.g., RACI, functional and non-functional requirements) and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear deliverables and actionable project plans.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Project Managers to drive delivery and outcomes.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience across the standard BA toolkit, including workshop facilitation, documentation, and ownership of artefacts such as RACI, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure projects – mandatory.
  • Previous experience with fileshare and data migrations – mandatory.
  • Previous experience with Windows OS builds or OS upgrades.
  • Exposure to IT security concepts
  • Familiarity with EUC/modern workplace environments
  • Experience with certificate lifecycle management
