As Senior Legal Counsel at Aussie Broadband, you'll provide thoughtful, practical legal support across a wide range of commercial and corporate matters. You'll partner with teams across the business to guide contract negotiations, manage legal risk, and contribute to strategic initiatives. With a focus on collaboration, clarity, and ethical judgement, you'll help shape a culture of integrity while empowering others through legal tools, resources, and training.

Let's talk about you

You're someone who blends technical expertise with emotional intelligence. You communicate with warmth and precision, build strong relationships, and approach challenges with curiosity and composure. You're comfortable working on ones own, while also contributing generously to team efforts.

  • A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and admission to practice in Australia

    • Around 8 years of relevant legal experience, ideally including in-house or secondment roles

      • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts

        • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships

          • Commercial acumen and a balanced approach to risk

            • Confidence to speak up on matters of importance

              • Experience supporting high-performing teams, especially in sales or commercial environments

                • Familiarity with the telco sector (a bonus, not essential)

                  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly

                    • Alignment with Aussie Broadband's values and purpose

How will you support our "Why?"

You'll bring our values to life by partnering with teams across the business to provide clear, practical legal guidance. Your work will help shape ethical judgements, support strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of integrity and care. You'll contribute to key projects, help build our legal resources, and support the development of tools and training that empower others.

  • Reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements

    • Providing general legal advice across commercial, consumer, IP, corporate, and property matters

      • Drafting and refining standard contracts and templates

        • Supporting dispute resolution and litigation processes

          • Building and maintaining our legal resources database

            • Facilitating legal training and knowledge-sharing across the business

              • Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, fostering mutual respect and ethical conduct
