Events and Facilities Coordinator (Front of House) – Standards Australia

Standards Australia is the peak standards development organisation in Australia, with a history dating back to 1922. The organisation is currently in a transformation and growth phase, employing over 200 professionals dedicated to empowering communities and shaping Australia's future.

What you'll do
  • Oversee the front desk to ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all visitors
  • Coordinate daily mail collection and distribution, working with delivery partners to ensure timely handling of correspondence
  • Ensure meeting rooms and employee kitchens are clean, tidy, and well-maintained
  • Collaborate to maximise efficient use of on-site meeting rooms
  • Manage relationships with external providers (e.g., catering) to ensure timely and flawless delivery of services for meetings and events
  • Support Events and Facilities Managers with end-to-end planning and execution of events
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication on event objectives
  • Ensure event budgets are managed and tracked for cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Supervise event activities, including setup and coordination, to ensure events run smoothly and meet expectations
  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance
About you
  • 2+ years' experience in hospitality or service industry (preferable but not essential)
  • Experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
