About the role
Lean Agile Coach – Fixed Term
As a Lean Agile Coach, you will play a critical role in embedding continuous improvement, operational excellence, and agile ways of working across AGL's Customer Markets business. Working across sales, service, operations, transformation and innovation teams, you will coach the business through its transformation journey—ensuring new processes, behaviors, and rhythms are not only adopted but sustained over time. This role focuses on driving end-to-end process optimization, uplifting team capability in structured improvement methods, and embedding disciplined cadences and decision-making practices. It blends agile coaching with Lean implementation to support the delivery of value, improve flow, and enable a culture of problem-solving, simplification, and measurable impact.
About the role:
Embed a Continuous Improvement Mindset: Coach teams across Customer Markets to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and refine end-to-end processes through data-driven experimentation and proactive problem-solving.
Facilitate Practical, Team-Led Improvements: Lead process mapping, performance huddles, and structured problem-solving sessions to enhance customer experience, speed, and quality through team ownership and accountability.
Build Capability in Improvement Methodologies: Support teams and leaders in applying fit-for-purpose approaches such as Lean, Agile, and Kaizen, while uplifting skills in root cause analysis, backlog prioritisation, and process ownership.
Drive Strategic, Customer-Centric Change: Partner with cross-functional teams and business leaders to align improvement initiatives with strategic goals, ensuring value streams are scalable, outcomes-focused, and deliver measurable impact.
Enable Data-Informed Decision Making & Cultural Shift: Ensure teams have access to actionable insights, address capability gaps, and champion a shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive, value-driven continuous improvement.
About you:
Demonstrated experience in Agile coaching, Lean leadership, or operational excellence within complex environments, with expertise in frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, or Six Sigma; strong data analysis skills, familiarity with customer-centric design and agile performance metrics, and hands-on experience with backlog tools (e.g., Jira) and agile maturity assessments—ideally gained in customer service, operations, or sales settings.
Strong facilitation and coaching skills with a proven ability to uplift agile capability, influence at all levels, and lead cross-functional workshops and retrospectives that drive meaningful change and co-create improvement solutions.
Passionate about driving cultural and behavioral change, with a proven ability to build psychological safety, foster accountability and learning, and collaborate effectively across teams and leadership to embed mindset shifts and support transformation.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity, guide teams through transformation, balance long-term coaching goals with delivery outcomes, and translate strategy into actionable plans through effective stakeholder engagement.
At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including:
