About the role
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our Tools and Hardware portfolio, from market and trend analysis to product development, pricing, range planning, and supplier management. You will work closely with design, sales, and procurement teams to ensure our offering remains competitive, profitable, and trusted by both trade professionals and DIY users. Reporting to the category manager, your responsibilities include:
- Lead the strategic development of the Tools and Hardware category in line with market trends, customer demand, and professional user requirements
- Conduct range reviews, manage the full product lifecycle, and identify gaps and opportunities within the portfolio
- Partner with local and international suppliers on sourcing, innovation, and development of new tools with a focus on durability, safety, and ergonomic design
- Monitor category performance and make data-driven decisions to improve margin, turnover, and sell-through
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to execute category plans, promotional activities, and trade events
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory standards, and competitor activity to maintain leadership in the market
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing and/or minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Ability to understand how customers use products and deliver improvements in function and quality
- Ability to collaborate with internal design teams to efficiently bring new products to market
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Ability to liaise with and present concepts to management and external customers
- Strong people skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with overseas suppliers/manufacturers
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
