Overview

ICON Agency is seeking a Pre Departure and Settlement Services Officer to lead the delivery of pre-departure support under the Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) initiative, helping communities across the Pacific and Timor-Leste prepare for life in Australia.

This is a part-time role (4 days a week) on a fixed-term contract until June 2026 with potential to extend. Ideally based in Melbourne; candidates in Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra will be considered.

What you'll do
  • Deliver pre-departure and settlement services across the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
  • Develop and deliver resources, briefings, and training for in-country teams.
  • Collaborate with program partners and government stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging webinars and workshops to help people prepare for their departure to and life in Australia.
  • Provide tailored support to PEV holders about access to services in Australia.
  • Provide advice on people movement challenges and barriers to settlement.
About you

You're an experienced professional with a strong background in migrant, pre-departure and settlement services, ideally from government, NGO or corporate settings. A background in social work would be very beneficial for this role.

  • Confidence in managing stakeholders in complex, multi-country projects.
