Overview

Chef de Partie for our Viral Sensation Black Star Pastry Production Kitchen in Alexandria, NSW. Permanent full-time role with unrestricted working rights. Join a team renowned for crafting the World's Most Instagrammed Cake and contributing to ongoing growth, including our new Parramatta store.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Strawberry Watermelon Cake (SWC) section under Kitchen Leaders, demonstrating leadership and hands-on pastry skills.
  • Drive all aspects of SWC production and final execution, ensuring consistent, on-point presentation in a high-volume setting.
  • Coordinate workflows within your section, ensure quality control, manage inventory and supply chain, and mentor a team of passionate pastry professionals.
  • Maintain efficient and effective kitchen operations for your section, adapting to changing demands and peak periods.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Senior Pastry Chef role, ideally 2+ years as a Chef de Partie.
  • Experience in a Production Kitchen environment is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform as CDP for the SWC section and understand its impact on the Black Star Pastry brand.
  • Strong teamwork, professional communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of industry trends and the hospitality landscape; flexible and adaptable to a dynamic business.
