The Role

We are seeking an experienced Service / Operations Manager to lead daily operations at one of our subsidiary fire businesses. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct responsibility for service delivery, compliance, and people management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of service technicians and administrators
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (EP&A Act, AS1851, AFSS sign-offs)
  • Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement through scheduling, route optimisation, and resource allocation
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service contracts renew and expand
  • Collaborate with FSG leadership on continuous improvement, safety culture, and growth

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who combines operational discipline with a people-first leadership style.

  • Experience in fire protection, building services, or a comparable essential services industry
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (AS1851, AFSS, BCA audits) desirable
  • Proven ability to lead field-based teams, manage budgets, and deliver high service standards
  • Commercial acumen with an ability to balance client satisfaction with efficiency and margin growth
