
Senior Payments Specialist, Loyalty Solutions

Overview:
Global Loyalty Solutions manages a wide range of Mastercard loyalty assets, including the design, implementation, and operations of cardholder loyalty programs, as well as cardholder promotions, benefits, and insurance services. These loyalty solutions enable Issuers and/or Merchants to reward, protect, and assist cardholders, driving overall card usage, retention, and brand preference.
Our vision is to become the partner of choice for Issuers and Merchants by leveraging our solutions to drive profitable consumer engagement and Mastercard preference. To create exceptional cardholder experiences and drive value through differentiation, we are seeking a Senior Specialist, Mastercard Merchant Offers Partnerships Development. The successful candidate will support global and regional product initiatives to grow Domestic and Cross-Border transaction volume by winning share from competitors and digitizing cash. The candidate location can be Australia or New Zealand.
Role:
- Secure merchant offers for Mastercard's Offers programs, including making direct contact with merchants or aggregators, working through regional market development teams, preparing proposals and budget forecasts, making presentations, managing accounts, renewing agreements, forecasting P&L, and building merchant relationships.
- Build, manage, maintain, and execute the merchant business development pipeline.
- Strategically grow Issuer/Merchant business through quarterly business reviews, effectively communicating program success and the value of card-linked programs.
- Oversee operations involving cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Monitor, manage, and report on merchant offers KPIs.
- Support and develop business reviews via regular Issuer/Merchant meetings to ensure quality delivery of program performance and identify new opportunities for retention.
- Develop expertise on the benefits and considerations of merchant participation in personalized, card-linked offer marketing programs.
- Contribute to issue resolution between functional groups and management as needed.
- Support and troubleshoot merchant billing processes and issues.
- Deploy monthly merchant statements to Regional Market Development teams and/or directly to merchants.
- Maintain account budgets and forecasts, establishing and monitoring revenue projection goals.
- Drive and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
About You
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the loyalty/rewards offers space and/or have worked directly with merchant partners in an offers-based program in Australia/New Zealand.
- Business development experience working with various levels—internal and external.
- Previous merchant loyalty marketing or related digital marketing experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to act with a persistent and relentless sense of urgency.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences, from technical resources to regional product and marketing leads.
- Excellent listening and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional team-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
