Lead Structural Projects

The opportunity to spearhead structural projects has arisen in our Coffs Harbour office.

We are seeking an accomplished and passionate structural engineer to join our close-knit team. You will lead projects from concept to construction, working with a diverse client base and supported by a management team that values your growth and success.

  • Responsible for delivering technical excellence across a wide range of structural projects including commercial buildings, residential developments, fit-out, aged care and educational facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, attending meetings and inspections as the primary point of contact for design coordination and reviews.
  • Monitor project performance and budget, ensuring key dates are met and projects remain within budget.
  • Guide junior team members in planning their project timeline each week and mentor up-and-coming young engineers.
  • Contribute to technical development across the Structural section.
  • Develop business development skills, preparing proposals to secure new projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a structural engineering consultant in the Australian market.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering and preferably be CPEng certified.
  • Knowledge of ETABS, RC Building, RAPT, SpaceGass is highly valued.
  • Deliver projects across various types of structures within the residential / health / education / commercial / industrial sectors.
  • Accountability for setting goals and driving their fulfillment - someone who can keep the team motivated and moving forward.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player able to work effectively across functional groups.
  • Familiarity with financial management of projects internally is highly valued.
