Are you an experienced accountant looking for a dynamic role where you can take ownership of financial operations? We're seeking a dedicated Owners Corporation (Strata) Accountant to manage the financial affairs of multiple owners corporations and play a key role in ensuring compliance and excellence in property management.

About the Role

As our Owners Corporation Accountant, you'll be at the heart of financial operations, working directly with the General Manager and Head of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in an autonomous environment while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

You'll manage the complete financial lifecycle for multiple owners corporations, from day-to-day bookkeeping to annual compliance requirements, ensuring each property community runs smoothly and transparently.

What You'll Be Doing

Maintain comprehensive books and prepare accurate financial statements

Process invoices and manage payments for all owners corporations

Operate and reconcile bank accounts with precision

Issue fee notices and manage collections from owners in arrears

Prepare and lodge BAS and tax returns

Ensure compliance with Owners Corporations Regulations

Coordinate annual financial statement audits for prescribed corporations

Leadership & Development

Supervise and mentor Assistant Accountants

Foster a positive team culture and collaborative work environment

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Client Relations

Provide exceptional customer service to owners and tenants

Handle financial enquiries with professionalism and expertise

Maintain timely communication via phone and email

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Highly regarded CPA or CA qualification

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

Current Police Check (or ability to obtain)

Strong autonomous work capabilities

Proven supervisory experience

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Highly Regarded

Experience with Urbanise software

Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
