Property Services Lead | Emergency Communication Services (ECS)

Role Overview: The Property Services Lead is a vital member of the ECS department, overseeing facility management and operations of SECCs to ensure 24/7 functionality. This role requires expertise in ECS, processes, and systems, and involves coordinating facilities management, Business Continuity Plans, OH&S, security, and fire services. The position supports the site management team, maintains a safe work environment, and serves as the first point of contact for risks and operational improvements, while overseeing projects, event coordination, and reception.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain facilities and critical infrastructure to ensure high availability for 24/7 operations; identify opportunities for service and equipment improvements to mitigate risks of equipment failure.
  • Lead, coach, and develop property service teams (reception and inventory administration) to improve performance and customer outcomes through enhanced systems and processes.
  • Provide support and advice to the Property Services Manager, EMECS, and MECS on property and operational matters (change initiatives, facilities, BCP, and HSW).
  • Provide analytical and technical support to stakeholders (Procurement, Operations, IT Services); prepare concise reports for Government and TZV requirements; act as primary contact for projects, change requests, and facility-related initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders, ESO representatives, and contractors via strong communication.
  • Oversee contract management, including vendor meetings, SLA/KPI management, tender specifications, performance management, and expenditure tracking; liaise with building owners and resolve related incidents.
About You
  • Experience in project management, maintenance management, facilities management, or business management.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritise competing demands in a regulated environment.
  • Qualifications/knowledge in building trades or building maintenance; experience with TZV is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, BSM, Incident and Change Management software, Secure Access Systems, and CCTV packages.
  • Ability to respond calmly to a demanding environment.
