Job Title:Business Development Manager

Location:Sydney, NSW

Employment Type:Full-Time

Reports To:Managing Director & Head of Sales and Operations

Salary:100k+ Base + Commission + car & tools of trade

Pioneer Services is a leading commercial cleaning company servicing a wide range of clients across Greater Sydney, including government bodies, educational institutions, corporate offices, and health facilities. With a strong reputation for reliability, professionalism, and service excellence, we are now looking to expand our footprint even further.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing large-scale commercial cleaning contracts and be confident managing the end-to-end tender process—from lead generation and quoting through to contract negotiation and handover. This is a senior role suited to someone with deep industry knowledge, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to develop strategic growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across government, corporate, health, and education sectors.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive tender responses for large commercial cleaning contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, facility managers, and procurement teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets.
  • Conduct site inspections, accurately scope cleaning requirements, and prepare detailed service proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, HR, finance) to ensure service delivery models are aligned with client needs.
  • Represent Pioneer Services at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects and report on business development activities.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Business Development or Sales Management role within the commercial cleaning or facilities management industry.
  • Demonstrated success in quoting, bidding, and winning large-scale tenders.
  • Strong understanding of commercial cleaning operations, service scopes, and pricing models.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional proposals and presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Self-starter with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Current Driver's Licence and ability to travel as required.
