Job Description

About the role:

If you're looking for variety in your workday, this role offers a dynamic, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.

As an Electrical Tradesperson at Port Waratah, you'll be part of a skilled and supportive team responsible for both preventative and breakdown maintenance—helping to ensure plant reliability and drive continuous improvement. All work is carried out with a commitment tohealth, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance on fixed plant systems and equipment
  • Inspecting, diagnosing faults, completing repairs, and installing upgrades on electrical infrastructure, including PLCs, motors, switchboards, and control systems.
  • Collaborating with fellow tradespeople, maintenance, and operations teams to minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operations

Our tradespersons rotate between rosters including:

  • Daywork:10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Afternoon:10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Shiftwork:7-day continuous rotating roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)

Part-time or job share arrangements can also be considered.

What we are looking for:

  • Cert III - Electrotechnology and High Voltage switching qualification
  • Skills &experience inPLC coding are highly regarded
  • Experience in aheavy industryenvironment, particularly in fixed plant maintenance.
