Key Responsibilities

To be considered for this role, you are required to meet the following requirements:

  • Adhere to Company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate rescue equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks of SAR, sling load, and winch equipment.
  • Provide information concerning aircraft safety.
  • Maintain rescue and sling load equipment in a serviceable condition.
  • Assist the Aircrew Officer in managing the rear cabin during flying operations.
  • Render first aid when necessary.
  • Meet all Company Operational Standards.
  • Ensure compliance with, and proper operation of the aircraft according to, the Operations Manual, procedures, legislation, and directions.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Essential requirements:

  • Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to pass and maintain the company fitness test

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to hold and maintain necessary security clearances.

Desirable requirements:

  • Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
  • TBOSIET/HUET Qualification
  • Current Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Emergency Medical Services/SAR environment
  • Bronze Medallion

About the role

We are seeking a Rescue Crew Officer to join our Offshore Aviation team on a full-time touring basis, supporting helicopter operations nationwide.

The Rescue Crew Officer is a technical role responsible for Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical, Rappelling, Sling Loading, Passenger Transport, and Winching Operations. The role involves managing the aircraft's rear cabin safely and efficiently during flying operations, under the supervision of the aircraft captain.

This role involves working in diverse environments, often under stressful conditions, and requires physical fitness, resilience, and proficiency in various operational tasks. The work schedule may include day and night operations, year-round, with ongoing training to maintain skills and safety standards.
