BluTide is an established international tapware brand now entering the Australian and New Zealand markets. While the brand has a strong global presence, BluTide Australia is a startup operation — offering an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to build and scale the business from the ground up.

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Managing Director to lead BluTide Australia, driving growth and positioning the company as a trusted leader in premium bathroom and kitchen solutions across Australia and New Zealand. This position is based in Melbourne and is an office-bound role.

Key Responsibilities

In this senior leadership role, you will:

Provide overall leadership by defining the company's mission, long-term vision, and strategic direction, ensuring alignment with shareholder and board objectives.

Exercise ultimate responsibility for company-wide management, including product development, marketing, sales, distribution, and supplier relationships.

Approve and control the allocation of financial, human, and physical resources at the highest level to achieve corporate objectives.

Report directly to the board of directors, presenting operational performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Oversee the organisation's compliance with corporate governance, statutory obligations, and industry standards, ensuring financial accountability and ethical conduct.

Lead preparation and presentation of budgets, forecasts, and company-wide performance reports to the board and shareholders.

Act as the company's primary representative in negotiations, strategic partnerships, government and regulatory discussions, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements.

Appoint, approve, and guide the senior executive team, fostering leadership capability and succession planning.

Drive the company's expansion and competitiveness by leading R&D initiatives, developing new products, and pursuing market opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.

Hold overall responsibility for the company's profitability, sustainability, and long-term success.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring a combination of entrepreneurial drive, technical expertise, and commercial leadership. Specifically, you will have:

Demonstrated experience in building and scaling successful startup businesses, ideally within the plumbing/tapware industry.

At least 5 years of chief executive experience in the plumbing industry, with proven expertise in product development, branding, marketing, supplier management, and financial control.

A bachelor's degree in Business, Management, and/or Engineering.

Strong financial and commercial management skills, with a track record of delivering growth and profitability.

Exceptional ability to lead teams, shape strategy, and drive execution in a competitive market.

Proven success in the tapware or broader plumbing and sanitaryware industry, which will be a distinct advantage.
