About This Role

The role of the Warehouse Manager is responsible for all aspects of running a medium-sized warehouse in Newcastle. This includes ordering, receiving, and despatching stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, warranties, stock control and maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring occupational health and safety compliance in the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will have responsibility for a small team and will manage the day-to-day activities of that team as well as regular performance and development reviews. The role also requires daily engagement with staff across the Viatek team including technicians, other warehouses, the consumables team and our accounts team, as well as problem solving and escalation with suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations for a medium-sized facility in Newcastle
  • Order, receive, and despatch stock; maintain stock levels and inventory accuracy
  • Manage warranties and stock control; ensure OH&S compliance in the warehouse
  • Lead and develop a small team; conduct regular performance and development reviews
  • Engage with staff across teams and coordinate with suppliers for issue resolution
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in warehousing, inventory and customer service
  • Strong communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Intermediate Excel skills; ability to learn new systems; good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment; leadership experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and forklift license
