Overview

Join to apply for the Human Resources & Payroll Officer role at Randstad Australia. Our client is a global industrial company with a rich history, dedicated to making life better through high-performance products and solutions. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for a motivated professional with strong HR operations and payroll handling experience. This role is based in Dandenong South and reports to the HR Business Partner. It is a hybrid position that supports the local HR team and provides payroll support for a broader national workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Handle end-to-end payroll processing for a weekly payroll cycle, including coordinating with an external payroll provider.
  • Manage HR operational activities across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation processes, including claims, reporting, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Provide generalist HR support, ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and assist with HR reporting.
  • Assist with talent acquisition support as needed.
About You

An independent and adaptable professional with a background in an industrial setting. You will have the skills and confidence to hit the ground running, as the manager travels frequently.

You'll Have
  • 3-5 years of combined HR and payroll experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Workers' Compensation claims and reporting.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with an industrial background is preferred.
