Job Description

Your Mission

As Social Media Specialist, you'll be the primary owner of Blizzard's social channels across Australia, New Zealand (ANZ) and Southeast Asia (SEA) — leading content planning, localisation, publishing, player engagement, and campaign execution. You'll bring deep familiarity with social platforms, creative instincts, and a collaborative mindset to execute world-class content and ensure Blizzard's social presence is culturally relevant and locally resonant.

You will partner closely with global and regional stakeholders across Marketing, PR, Influencer, and Content, as well as our external agencies, to develop social plans that amplify franchise beats, support commercial priorities, and celebrate player passion.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead Blizzard's local social media strategy and content calendar for ANZ & SEA.
  • Localise and originate content across platforms (Meta, X, TikTok, YouTube) that resonates with players and supports campaign objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day publishing of content, community interactions, and player engagement across Blizzard's social channels.
  • Act as project lead on regional activations in collaboration with cross-functional partners (Marketing, PR, Influencer etc).
  • Brief and manage social agencies to support campaign execution and evergreen content.
  • Track, report, and analyse key social KPIs (reach, engagement, sentiment) and provide insights to optimise strategy.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, local cultural moments, and competitive landscape to inform content direction.
  • Act as an ambassador of Blizzard's games and values — online and, when needed, at local community or promotional events.

Player Profile
  • 6+ years of experience managing social media channels in a fast-paced marketing or community role.
  • Proven experience managing content and engagement across all major social platforms — including Meta, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong editorial and copywriting skills, with proven ability to write in-brand and in-tone.
  • Familiarity with social and content tools (e.g. Sprinklr).
  • Comfortable working across time zones and with global counterparts; able to operate with autonomy and initiative.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.
  • Interest in gaming and digital entertainment is beneficial but not required — we welcome candidates from all industries who bring strong social media expertise and cultural fluency.
  • Bonus: Experience with paid social campaigns, community management, or influencer activation.

Success in Year 1
  • Strong growth in regional social KPIs (reach, engagement, sentiment).
  • Delivery of locally relevant content and activations that connect Blizzard with regional player communities.
  • Establishment of a clear, consistent voice for Blizzard's franchises across ANZ & SEA.
  • Trusted partner across APAC and Global teams, with strong cross-functional relationships and collaborative impact.
