About the ROLE

Preferred Locations: Adelaide, Melbourne, or East Coast (Open to Travel)

Full-time Permanent Role

As an Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will support nxzen within the Energy Assets Development CoE to deliver renewable energy O&M services. You will also support project origination and business development activities securing EPC roles on renewable energy projects where that relates to input on O&M services and pricing. The key responsibilities include:

  1. Operations and Maintenance management of the solar farm to meet KPIs and contractual obligations.
  2. Site safety processes and procedures, with a strong focus on preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure long-term profitability, plant reliability, and risk minimization.
  3. Establishing subcontracts for sub-operations, maintenance activities, budgets, whilst managing the delivery of services within the budget.
  4. Client and project site stakeholder management and reporting.
  5. Collaborating with nxzen's Contracts Manager, Safety Manager, Project Engineering Team, Finance Team, and other staff involved in delivering the service.
  6. Managing subcontractor relationships, including project scope and proposal review, and providing all close-out documentation to the client at project completion.
  7. Supporting transition periods at the time of award from development to project delivery, and as required, supporting delivery.
  8. Implementing the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to plan routine maintenance, create work orders, close them out, and generate reports.

About YOU

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a reputable university.
  • Proven experience in all aspects of Operations & Maintenance of solar farms.
  • Ability to manage a solar farm site as an Operations & Maintenance Manager.
  • Experience managing subcontractors against their contracts.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental management related to operations and service delivery.
  • Ability to communicate engineering principles to executive partners and customers.
  • Experience in power engineering (electrical), including grid connection.
  • Experience as a Senior Project Engineer, including EPC turnkey pricing.
  • Input to EPC project development.
  • Skills in planning, scope documentation, design, estimating, and project scheduling, with understanding of time and motion studies for solar farm construction.
  • BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) experience is preferred.
  • Team player with the ability to be a self-starter.
