Procurement - Offshore Wind - Sr Associate

Base pay range

A$140,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Establish a deep understanding of the market for the services, materials and equipment required for offshore wind projects
  • Identify and assess the capabilities of potential suppliers to deliver project needs on time, on budget, with relevant performance and delivery guarantees
  • Expedite selected supplier capability to deliver products and services according to project requirements
  • RFP management: receive, analyse, tabulate bids, and prepare tender documentation; coordinate internal stakeholders (e.g., legal or technical) as part of negotiation
  • Set out contractual documents that are fully compliant to support business needs and are legally binding, mitigating commercial risks
  • Support handling/assessment of claims, working with the project management team, internal lawyers
  • Work with Supply Chain and local stakeholders to develop solid relations with suppliers across the supply chain
  • Analyse trends and forecasts in the marketplace regarding suppliers, cost, quality, availability and technological change
  • Assess supplier capability to deliver products and services according to requirements
  • Drive supplier performance through effective management
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with sourcing goods and services, preferably related to renewable energy or offshore industries
  • Experience in other roles in commercial, legal, contract management or tendering positions is acceptable
Qualifications / Skills
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain
  • Understanding of cost drivers and cost breakdown analysis
  • Knowledge of industry-standard contracts (e.g., FIDIC, BIMCO, LOGIC)
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Negotiation skills
  • Accountable, organized and able to prioritise
  • Proactive and hard-working
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities
  • MS Office knowledge with advanced MS Excel
  • General knowledge of supply chain
  • Strong ethics and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
