Offshore Wind Procurement Role

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market for services, materials, and equipment required for offshore wind projects.

  • Establish a comprehensive understanding of market trends and project requirements.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers to deliver products and services according to project needs.
  • Expedite supplier capability to deliver project requirements on time with relevant performance guarantees.
  • RFP management involves receiving, analysing, tabulating bids, and preparing tender documentation; coordinating internal stakeholders as part of negotiation.
  • Develop contractual documents that are fully compliant and legally binding, mitigating commercial risks.
  • Support handling/assessment of claims, working with the project management team and lawyers.
  • Develop solid relations with suppliers across the supply chain.
  • Analyse trends and forecasts in the marketplace regarding suppliers, cost, quality, availability, and technological change.
Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain is essential.
  • Understanding of cost drivers and cost breakdown analysis is crucial.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard contracts is necessary.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Negotiation skills are vital.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively is essential.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities are necessary.
  • MS Office knowledge with advanced MS Excel skills is required.
  • Strong ethics and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information are essential.

This role requires a high level of organisational skill, excellent communication abilities, and strong analytical skills.
