About the Project:

The Perdaman CERES Project shall be the world's largest gas stream ammonia-urea plant with a production capacity of 2.14 MMTPA. The plant is located within the Burrup Strategic Industrial Area, Burrup Peninsula, approximately 10km from Dampier and 20 km north-west of Karratha on the North-West coastline of Western Australia.

Saipem Australia Pty Ltd, in Joint Venture with Clough Group, has been awarded in April 2023 the project by Perdaman Industries (Chemical & Fertilizers) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work for its Urea Project in Karratha, Western Australia.

The plant will transform natural gas from nearby offshore field into granular urea for export; urea is a widely used form of fertilizer for production of food for future generations, and this project is strongly supported by the WA state government.

Purpose of the position

As a Document Control Coordinator, you will be part of the Perdaman project supporting the project managers, team members, stakeholders, and external entities to facilitate alignment with timely updates of projects documents.

How can you support us?

  • Act as a key communication liaison between the project manager, team members, stakeholders, and external entities to facilitate alignment and timely updates;
  • Create, organize, distribute, and maintain project documentation and records, including the preparation of progress reports and final handover packages;
  • Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and assist in the development of project plans, deadlines, and outcomes;
  • Support the definition and implementation of the Project Document Management Process, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and client requirements;
  • Monitor the Client Approval Process and manage timely document submissions, maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date Document Register and Master Data List;
  • Oversee the setup and continuous monitoring of project progress calculations, workflows, document lists, and internal distributions;
  • Provide Help Desk support and training to team members on Document Management Tools, including support for distant or remote project sites;
  • Ensure proper document linking to project activities, purchase requests/orders, and plant structures, verifying formal correctness and metadata integrity;
  • Support the Project Manager and Risk Owners in identifying and managing project risks and opportunities;
  • Assist in organizing and controlling project reports, contractual documents, and template uploads within the document control systems;
  • Transfer, preserve, and maintain document management knowledge across teams, promoting best practices and ensuring methodology compliance throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Provide essential administrative and organizational support to ensure smooth and efficient execution of projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Bachelor/Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Background: Minimum 5 years of experience in project administration, project control, or document control roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools
