We have partnered with a NSW Government client and they are seeking a Data Migration Analyst with solid SAP background to join their team.

About the Opportunity

In this role you will lead a team of data analysts in either finance and procurement or HCM/payroll to oversee the overall data management processes for the specified function and to ensure data readiness for a successful migration into the new SAP platform.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage the functional data stream members to plan and execute data related project activities in line with project plans ensuring close alignment with business requirements.
• Lead the identification of legacy data sources and ensure data is analysed, cleansed and transformed based on defined business rules and checked to conform to data migration strategy, preserving overall data quality and integrity.
• Lead the development of improved and efficient processes to extract and transform legacy data for migration to target system(s).
• Drive data activities with business stakeholders, advise on proper methods and processes to be followed and ensure the resolution of operational issues encountered.
• Communicates and liaises extensively with project, technical and business stakeholders to ensure project data objectives are met.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and consistency of data relating to business unit objectives, which includes data remediation for successful data migration and investigate data quality issues ensuring appropriate action is taken for correction of source data.
• Work collaboratively with delivery team members to identify system and process gaps and improvement strategies needed to assist with improving data quality and system testing and report on progress and advise the Delivery Director and project managers on data related activities to support and ensure issue resolution.
• Lead and document processes for data extract, cleansing and reporting and any underlying assumptions and methodologies to enable repeatable and transparent processes for data analysis.

About You

Excellent experience in data analysis or proven equivalent competency gained through any other combination of education, training or experience.

Extensive experience working in large and complex environments and systems with focus on SAP Finance or HCM datasets, with understanding of SAP data transformation and load tools.

Extensive experience in leading ERP data migration projects, developing migration strategy and processes including data extraction, cleansing, validation and loading for end user consumption and reporting.

Strong hands-on experience with SAP S4 HANA Data Migration Projects

Soild SAP HCM knowledge and experience in LSMW

Experience in SQL Server Management Studio

Proven ability to deliver accurate and efficient data transformations.

Solid understanding of data quality, governance, and validation practices

Working within a small team reporting to Data lead

Intermediate to advance Excel knowledge

Jira/QTest Experience
