Cloud Infrastructure Leader

The NSW Police Force is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Leader to drive the architecture and migration of its enterprise infrastructure to a modern, secure, and scalable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive technical designs aligned with NSWPF's technology strategy and enterprise architecture framework.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end solution delivery.
  • Provide leadership on networking, cloud, and infrastructure integration across on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Create detailed documentation including infrastructure roadmaps, design artefacts, and implementation plans.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect in data centre and infrastructure migration projects.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Experience with SDWAN, SASE, and cloud network architecture (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Proven track record of engaging business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Infrastructure and cloud certifications highly regarded (e.g. Cisco, AWS, Azure, TOGAF).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry certifications).
  • Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen (with valid passport).
  • Must be able to obtain or hold a Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a National Police Check.
