Work Unit: Hospital Resource Coordination - Aboriginal Engagement and Strategy
Location: Alice Springs
Primary Objective: The Aboriginal Liaison Officer contributes to the provision of culturally appropriate health service provision to Aboriginal patients and their families at the Alice Springs Hospital. This includes providing a relevant language service, cultural brokerage, advocacy and support to Aboriginal patients and education and advice to our staff. Two vacancies are available.
- Contribute to culturally appropriate health service provision for Aboriginal patients and their families at Alice Springs Hospital.
- Provide language services relevant to Aboriginal patients and families.
- Act as cultural broker, advocate and support for Aboriginal patients.
- Educate and advise hospital staff to improve culturally sensitive care.
