  The Finance and Business Services Centre plays the primary role in the strategic management of financial resources across the University. The Centre partners with our customers through Finance Teams to provide superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes, and sound financial management to support the University's objectives.
  
  The Finance Teams provide high quality financial management and business support to Schools and Service Centres including, but not limited to, assistance with compliance issues, management reports, budgeting and support in the development of research grant budgets.
  
  About The Opportunity
  
  The Finance Officer's role provides a range of accounting support services in delivery of the finance team's objectives and the key responsibilities for this role includes, but is not limited to:
  • Compliance review;
  • Research Invoicing and overdue follow up;
  • Processing journals;
  • Training of internal customers; and
  • Process improvement.
    
    
  About You
  
  The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices and procedures, and of computer based accounting systems (preferably Oracle Financials).
  
  You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.
