Our Risk, Programs and Cyber (RPC) capability is a leader in trust-based services to the public sector. We support clients to achieve outcomes for communities seeking trusted information around issues like organisational integrity, cyber risk, data integrity, commitment to sustainability and climate change, as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of transformation programs.
Our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) practice helps clients to manage, optimise or mitigate risk proactively and sustainably. We work with clients to de-risk operations, programs and new initiatives through upfront advice and establishment, ensuring risk awareness is built in by design, and delivering assurance and compliance services.

We are seeking a highly motivated GRC Leader who is passionate about working with public purpose clients, and helping to build more equitable, resilient, secure and prosperous communities. In this role, you will create value by:
- Leading complex engagements across multiple government and for-purpose clients, leveraging industry-leading thinking with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Working closely with government and for-purpose clients to provide advice, implementation, and assurance over program design, processes, controls and tools for effective governance, risk, and compliance management.
- Developing and providing leadership over local and national governance, risk and compliance capability initiatives
- Supporting the professional growth and development of our team through the sharing of experiences, development of technical skills, mentoring, and career management advice
- Building relationships across Scyne Advisory's capabilities to leverage the whole of company capability to drive client value
- Providing expertise on matters of risk management, corporate governance, business processes, controls and compliance across a range of public sector industries and clients
- Developing the skills and capabilities of our junior team members through providing effective on the job training
- Supporting business development through contributing to the preparation of Request for Tender responses and development of thought-leadership material.

Technically, you likely bring to the position:
- A deep appreciation of our government and for-purpose client's most pressing challenges, and clear perspectives on how those challenges can be met with contemporary governance, risk, and compliance solutions, supported by evidence-based practices.
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of demonstrated governance, risk and compliance experience, preferably serving the government and for purpose clients or in a professional services environment
- Relevant qualifications, certifications or memberships (e.g. the Risk Management Institute of Australasia or Governance Institute).
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across team members
- Working knowledge of risk management methodologies
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and presenting to client stakeholders
- Continuous learning mindset, staying informed and abreast of key trends, risks, developments and innovations that may impact our clients, our services or our ways of working.
