Associate Director, Governance Risk and Compliance
Job Description

Our Governance Risk and Compliance team supports our clients to provide tangible outcomes on significant transformation projects. Our team brings expertise across governance, risk, and controls advisory, internal audit, contract management, vendor performance, and more, and supports the implementation of strategic outcomes.

Your Opportunity

Forming part of the GRC team, your role as an Associate Director will include:

  • Contributing to the development of KPMG people
  • Manage multiple projects while providing advanced technical knowledge to clients
  • Perform high level stakeholder engagement and lead practice management for your team
  • Leading the development of client deliverables whilst overseeing the day-to-day delivery of client engagements in the areas of risk management and internal audit
  • Developing Risk Based Assurance and Monitoring Frameworks
  • Providing leadership to build the capacity of our delivery teams and integrating capabilities from across the firm, to ensure client engagements are delivered to the highest quality by implementing the right program and project management disciplines
  • Bringing together knowledge from teams across our firm, by collaborating with other skilled consultants in our Governance Risk Compliance team and grow our ability to lead and support projects that KPMG delivers
  • Grow and develop alongside a team of experienced management consultants

Your Experience

  • Prior experience working in internal audit, risk management and/or assurance
  • A desire to collaborate in teams on short- and long-term projects, and proven track record in contributing to and delivering projects successfully
  • Experience in working across a portfolio of clients with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Recent experience in an audit or risk associated role, with a strong understanding of governance, risk and controls and an ability to think strategically
  • A tertiary qualification, post-grad qualifications such as CIA/CPA/CA will be viewed favourably, but we are also happy to consider people from other backgrounds such as engineering, project management, change management, data analytics and information technology
