About Your New Career
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be an important member of the Finance team, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and working closely with the Recruitment Manager, to ensure the smooth onboarding and payments for our valued staff members. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Processing of new employee contract requests
- Issuing of employment contracts
- Onboarding of staff through our internal payroll systems
- Assist fortnightly payroll processing for 1,500+ staff using Access Micropay
- Assist with maintaining our Time management System - Humanforce
- Liaise with department managers to ensure timesheets are accurate
- Collect, calculate and enter data to maintain and update payroll information
- Resolving payroll discrepancies
- Perform all necessary payroll checks and controls, including award interpretations as required
- Manage Workcover claims from end to end, including providing payroll information, liaising with case officer, calculating payments required and communicating return to work plans to centres
You're an experienced Payroll Administrator, with a collaborative approach to achieving the required outcomes, whilst maintaining a focus on clear communication and attention to detail.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years payroll experience
- Knowledge and experience working with Humanforce and Access Micropay. (Highly desirable)
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Office.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Modern Awards, particularly the Children's Services and Educational Teachers Award
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus on priorities
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others
- Appropriate Tertiary qualification - Accounting, Finance, Business or similar (Highly desirable)
