Payroll Administration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administration Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Payroll Administration Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across our workforce. You will work closely with our General Manager – Payroll to handle payroll administration, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for wages and salaried staff across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll transactions
  • Provide payroll-related reports and reconciliations
  • Interpret and apply relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and employment legislation
  • Assist with superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax processes

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing (experience with iChris/TIMS Payroll is highly desirable)
  • Ability to manage payroll in a complex environment with a mix of casual and permanent staff (300+ employees)
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems
  • Sound understanding of employment legislation and award interpretation
