Our client is a well-known national business at the forefront of their industry, seeking a skilled payroll professional to manage payroll records accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and company policies. Position DescriptionReporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payroll in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policies, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and relevant legislation
- Ensuring payments to staff are compliant, correct, and timely
- Educating the team on legislative changes
- Identifying process improvements, especially in governance
- Conducting audits and reviews
- Responding to escalated payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and reviewing payroll reports
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a senior payroll role and possess:
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll compliance and governance
- Ability to identify and implement payroll technologies
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience reviewing procedural documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Competitive remuneration (circa $130,000 - $145,000, dependent on experience)
