Your New Role

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service (MSAMHS) Crisis Support Spaces and advancing the lived experience workforce.
  • Lead the evaluation, reporting and strategic development of MSAMHS Crisis Support Spaces.
  • Provide operational and professional support to the Lived Experience Workforce across MSAMHS.
  • Supervise and mentor members of the Social Inclusion and Recovery leadership team.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Statewide Crisis Support Space leadership team.

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement that applicants are persons who have a lived/living experience of mental health challenges, substance use challenges, service use and recovery, or have been a carer for somebody experiencing these challenges

About You

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative professional who brings both lived experience and strong leadership skills to the role.
  • You have lived or living experience of mental health challenges, substance use challenges, service use and recovery, or caring for someone with these experiences.
  • You bring proven experience in leading and delivering system-wide or state-wide projects with measurable outcomes.
  • You demonstrate high-level strategic, analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
  • You are an effective communicator and relationship-builder, confident in engaging with stakeholders including consumers, carers, colleagues and partners.
