Lived Experience Project Officer

Your new role:

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service (MSAMHS) Crisis Support Spaces and advancing the lived experience workforce.

Lead the evaluation, reporting and strategic development of MSAMHS Crisis Support Spaces.

Provide operational and professional support to the Lived Experience Workforce across MSAMHS.

Supervise and mentor members of the Social Inclusion and Recovery leadership team.

Actively contribute as a member of the Statewide Crisis Support Space leadership team.

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement that applicants are persons who have a lived/living experience of mental health challenges, substance use challenges, service use and recovery, or have been a carer for somebody experiencing these challenges

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative professional who brings both lived experience and strong leadership skills to the role.

You have lived or living experience of mental health challenges, substance use challenges, service use and recovery, or caring for someone with these experiences.

You bring proven experience in leading and delivering system-wide or state-wide projects with measurable outcomes.

You demonstrate high-level strategic, analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.

You are an effective communicator and relationship-builder, confident in engaging with stakeholders including consumers, carers, colleagues and partners.
